COMMUNITY CENTER – TAPERIGUA

Community centers are spaces where a community gathers and develops collective, interest-oriented activities that tend to community development. These spaces are managed and allocated by each community, and are the area for the development of community projects. In them, workshops or training projects are usually developed in various areas, such as school tutoring, meetings to reflect on problems and proposals are usually developed. Fundamentally these centers are a space of community strengthening and articulation with other communities.

Although the Taperigua community had already been working on the construction of a Community center, the foundation approved of supplying the materials needed for its operation. One of the goals was to make an inter-community meeting of agriculture and different training workshops.
